About Me
Hello! I'm Tracy Hannemann. Thank you for visiting my website. I hope you get to know me a little better from what you hear and see as you explore through my site.
My love for singing and performing has been inside of me since my grade school years: singing in choir, talent contests, 4-H musical groups and with my sisters for family events. This love has grown and blossomed into a professional career that brings so many opportunites, joy and accomplishment to my soul. I don't own this gift, but I am a vessel through which it flows. I'm honored to share it with all those who are listening.
I've studied jazz at the WI Conservatory of Music for 3 years under a wonderful teacher named Martha Artis. What a woman! Martha had 25 years of experience on the road as a single woman singing jazz and 27 years experience teaching at the Conservatory. She is the reason I am able to understand music theory and communicate as a musician. I also studied opera at UW-Eau Claire and have classical vocal training as well.
I am currently performing with my band, POWERED by FIVE and with Cold Sweat and the Brew City Horns. While singing for many years with the Eddie Butts Band, I had the pleasure of opening for such national acts as Heart, Blues Traveler, Pat Benatar, Kool & The Gang, Huey Lewis & The News, Brian Setzer, KC & the Sunshine Band, Jeffrey Osborne, the Neville Brothers, and many others.
I recently had the pleasure of singing solo with a 10 piece orchestra opening for Bob Newhart. What an honor! I perform also as a duo, trio and with my quartet the TRACY HANNEMANN GROUP with incredibly talented musicians such as Theo Merriweather, Dwayne Williams and Brian Dale for private parties and clubs such as WI Club, Milwaukee Athletic Club, The Packing House and with Luke Edgewood at Vino Cappuccino. I have performed with private party bands, North Coast Orchestra, Velocity, Platinum and Chicago's MWO and with Prince, Adele and Martina McBride tribute bands. I am a professional jingle singer and voice over talent. I also record lead and background tracks for artists original music as well as my own. Please listen to samples on this website.
I have acting training from Susan Schoenfeld through UWM-outreach and on-camera training with Kate Frisina. Formerly with the Ford/Aria Talent agency, I now use these skills in my work as a free lance talent. I am a lifestyle and print model and an on camera spokesperson talent doing industrial, website video and film work. Some of the companies include Miller, Harley Davidson, Simplicity, GE Healthcare, Mills Fleet Farm, S.C. Johnson, Walgreens, TAPPI and iRig/IK Multimedia.
